My '72 Europa

gah.

I'd figger you'd do that yourself. Or are kits now NLA to us mere mortals?

Nope, had it sleeved. Do not have the machinery for the job. In my studies, I do not remember ever hearing that Castrol's finest should travel out of the vent port? Have been using the same firm for years, and this is their first cock-up.
Cheers,
David.

Well, I dumped the servos. It's a light car anyway, and this makes it even lighter!

The units I took off the +2 (back in '79, IIRC) are ~someplace~ inna Shed.

It don't take gorilla effort to get effective braking from a thing this light. The wheels can still be locked up if you aren't careful.

I gave consideration to fitting the smaller diameter M/C (0.650" IIRC) but the thing was easily brought down to a stop with the original (0.700"?) "assisted" one.

EDIT: P'raps the boosters were fitted to allow less stress on the pedal mounting assembly? That'd be the only reason I can come up with to justify ADDING mass to a Lotus.</span>

I am with you 100 precent about the servos. This is far from your average Europa though. This TC was put back to original as possible and is by far the best one that I have ever seen. If I could have dumped the servos, that would have saved about five extra miles of brake pipe! I believe that the servos were add to suit the American rules at the time?
Cheers,
D.

Actually sounds like a fun project!

So this one still has the "crossover" pipes and all the goofy stuff still in place? Amazing.

...and worth preserving, too.

Yup, this customer has many english motors. He uses them all and likes to have all of the correct bits in place. The most difficult item to get was the air-box and filter assembly. Runs like stink, just will not stop until later this week.
Cheers,
D.

Very nice. I've been working on a 73 TCS. It comes in handy to have a sail boat fiberglass guy nearby. Boosters have been deleted, going to drive a bit before making a decision on them. Always something. Pic at my website.
