Mustang GT vert trip

Flew to Tampa from New Mexico and got my 94 Mustang GT vert. Guy met me at the airport and we went to his place and inspected the car...wish all E-Bay transactions would go as well as this one. Had been tuned up, all filters changed, fresh oil, two day old diagnostic print out(perfect), paid the money and headed to Okeechobee Fl below Orlando for a couple of days to visit one of my sisters. While there decided to install all new 245/45/vr17 tires....tires on it were okay but was facing a long trip. Did a few minor things...bought an emer. tool kit and misc. things and blasted off for Orlando where a lady I have known for 25 years was about to fly back here to NM offered to ride back, navigate and slap me if I nodded off. Car performed flawlessly and we made it to Bunkie LA. (don't ask) where we overnited and the next day took off and we arrived back home that evening about 8pm. Used 71 gallons of gas...figured out to about 25 mpg and we averaged about 74mph. Not bad for a 5.0 HO automatic using the a/c most of the way.....bottom line is...My wife loves it.

Awright - when you post photos of it, don't forgetto also post photos of the cherry MGC GT body!!

Geez, Jack!! You were within MINUTES of the hovel! Not even a HINT you were coming down here.

some people's kids.... sheesh.

Theres a pic....sorry but this was a quick trip but I'm going back as I found a guy that wants MGS...and he has Corvettes to swap...I know...but they sure sell good down here. I also bought my wife an 04 Durango to replace here aging . squeaky Rodeo. Bought it in about 15 minutes flat....amazing what cash and no financing will do...speeds up the process.

Nice loking 'tang - what about the MGC GT bodyshell photo?

Glad the trip went well and the car checked out. Nice to hear that there are still good, honest sellers out there in eBay land.

Nice little convertible there Jack!

BTW I'm still interested in the cherry MGC body - I've got a whole car full of mechanicals that would fit right in!

My wife was kind enough to let me borrow it and drive it to Tucson..AF reunion. 27mpg both ways..set the cruise about two mph over the speed limit and kicked back. Got back yesterday..and today she drove the vert to work so I could use her Durango to dolly my 94 Mustang GT coupe to MVD...they have to verify the VIN so I can register it. If they catch you driving it there they rat you out to the local cops for driving an unregistered vehicle.
