Let me begin by saying this fascinates me and is very exciting,
I read this:
“It takes them away for just a few minutes to some other place where they don’t have to think about what’s going on,” said cellist Martha Vance"
That said, a number of years ago I was visiting in a hospital and they had a guest musician - a harpist - in the aisle. I wondered then (and still) who thought that was a good idea - not sure I would want to awake from surgery hearing harp music. People might literally think they were in another place.
