I just acquired this. Needs a little TLC. Tried to give it to the wife, as I thought it would save her a lot of work mowing the lawn, but for some reason it seems that most woman have no sense of humor. I have no idea why. Only trying to be nice! :highly_amused: PJ

I think I should have put this in the humor section!

We mow 18 acres. PJ

Just one word....ASTROTURF :D no more time consuming mowing. I got the dull green type with brown woven in so that it looks natural.

18 acres of AstroTurf...
yea, that's doable!

That's a nice piece of hardware! Overkill for a guy like me, but still nice!

I just mowed my one acre here in NJ for the second time.

Or, as I call it, "decapitating dandelions".

I have to sneak out to the summer house and cut the grass there (1/2 acre) this week.

We call it: "cutting all the green stuff to uniform height" here. 'bout th' same, no dandelions tho.

18 acres of AstroTurf...
yea, that's doable!

I don't think the animals would like it though. And, the rain won't dissolve the cow plops either! :highly_amused: PJ

Paul - are you mowing for hay to sell?

My first lawn mowing of the season was on Monday. Even tho' we've been dry for weeks, the lower part of the two acres is soft and marshy. Ugh. Best part: mowing through the wild mint smells great. Worst part: I get Lyme disease every year from the li'l critters in the swampy areas.

If had a couple sheep, I could at least recycle their exhaust :jester:

...another thought: SALT!

Take it the "drought" has eased a bit??

No drought here Don! It's raining now, a nice soft soaking rain. Probably off and on all week. PJ
