Seems there's a new film coming out dealing with 60s racing, Ford V Ferrari. Matt Damon play Shelby and it deals with that mid 60s period of FIA racing with the Cobra Daytonas, GT40s and various Ferrari models. I assume the actual racing is probably CGI and/or replicas, but looks worthwhile just to see them running against each other even if not strictly real.
 
I saw that trailer, looks like it will be worth a look see.
