Movie night - Cars 2

went to see it tonight - in 3D no less. Guys, grab a kid or grandkid and see this movie. The plot is alright, but the amount of obscure car trivia is staggering! The layers of Pixar are intricate at the best of time but, without giving away the ending, the villan is exposed by two pieces of trivia that we all would know and almost no-one else. The amount and variety of different cars in the actual movie is absolutely astonishing. One of the commentators in the races, David Hobbscap (real life David Hobbs) is an E type Jag. One of the original spies is Leyland Turbo and one of the clues is NOS British Goodland Parts. When they race in Britain, one of the advertizing panels on the side of the track reads Rostyle. I could watch the movie a few times just to see all the references and all the detail - it is amazing.

We saw it about a week ago.I was trying to see all the cars in the
driving/racing scenes.No Anglias,but lots of 2002's.I guess that I'll have
to see it again (& again).
The thing that I didn't like is that the sound was way too loud.

The plan is to head to Watkins Glen and see it tonight. We were on Pixar's blog the other day looking at some of the characters, And I've looked them over in the toy aisle at Target. So far I've spotted a Zundapp Janice, a Reliant Robin and a Trebant. I can't wait. It'll probably be like watching the first one. I was laughing at all kinds of stuff the wife missed.
