This is just fantastic. Silent advertisement about picking up one's new MG at Abingdon, 1931, complete with a fairly detailed factory tour. Wonderful that this film still exists.

Great video! I really enjoyed that. I just wonder what the turn over rate was for the paint section. :laugh:

I also get the feeling that the Morgan factory still looks like that! :devilgrin:

An excellent film! I found it very interesting and useful.

As for Morgan, their factory isn't nearly as sophisticated, they're still at the pre-assembly line mode of production, making individual cars on stands:

There was an episode of a BBC business series "Troubleshooter" about 20 years ago that did a factory tour and it was truly amazing to see their operations. I think it's still available from BBC education department, but it's extortionately expensive....

I had the very same thought! Some pretty hairy MGs in that factory.
