Mounting hole location for rear chrome bumper

Hello,
I could use a little help finding the correct location to drill the holes in the rear valance for the bumper to be mounted. My midget is a mkII 65'. I had alot of tub repair during my restoration, and need to mount the bumper. Any help in measuring, or pictures would be appreciated. Thanks, chad

Assuming it is the same as a 64 MK1 I could take a pic tomorrow afternoon.

Chad, you should have four reinforcing brackets inside the trunk area bolted to the floor pan. The rear flange butts against the valance and supports the bumper brackets. You can use these with a center punch to form a small dimple on the outer face of the panel and then punch back in to start your drill. They are shown as item 10 in the drawing from the VB catalog.
