Motoring in England, 1930s

The ultra-narrow gauge railway was neat. And seeing the girls drive that Austin onto the beach was great!

That's pretty much the England of my boyhood in the 40s and early 50s. The car on the beach is an Austin Seven Ruby Mk2, introduced in 1936, and The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway is still going strong.

Aaah, nostalgia!
