I am running 20W50 motor oil in my TR3 Is that what most of you use for Summer driving?
ALSO for summer coolant in the rad........anyone using "Water Wetter" in their coolant? I've heard 50% antifreeze/35% distilled water/15% Water Wetter

I did not have good luck with water wetter. It turned to brown stings and small balls of brown gooey stuff after one drive, even though the antifreeze with it was new. I quickly took it out and put in 20% antifreeze and distilled water. Have had good luck with that. But I keep my TR3 in a warm garage and don't drive it very often when it's very cold outside, which isn't often in North Carolina. But the 20% antifreeze cools better in the summer than 50%.

That's odd about the water wetter. I have used it and that didn't happen. Must have been some kind of chemical reaction with something in the antifreeze. Interesting about the 20% rather than the 50%. I went for a drive last week (cooler weather) with a fairly rich antifreeze mixture and when I hit 80mph the temp gauge was up to 200F? Last summer on really hot days with the water wetter the temp never went above 180F?
