TR6 Motor mount position--front/back?? TR6

Everything has been coming together---motor and Toyota Supra transmission bolted in place and I was starting to get everything bolted up and hooked up, but something didnt look right. The motor looks too far back and my Weber air cleaner hits the the firewall (it didnt before). My motor mounts are on the back side of the frame mounts, so Im guessing thats where I screwed up----Do the motor mounts bolt to the front side of the frame mounts??. There is 3/4" between the crank pulley and the steering rack tube, I guess it should be less??. Here I was feeling all proud of my accomplishments so far, but it shouldnt take too much to slide the engine forward---right??

Allan, it is pretty darn near impossible to mount the motor mounts on the front side of the frame bracket. The holes on the motor mounts are slotted so that there is a bit of play in them, front to back.

Thanks Bill, I guess I can slide it forward, all I need is about 1/4 inch. But I will have to do some re-adjustments on the Toyota trans. adapter mount because that doesnt slide.
