The early TR6 gearbox uses a bronze 2nd gear bush sometimes referred to as a tophat bush due to its shape. These are prone to fracture over time as the tranny gets out of spec. The later gearboxes use a steel bush to address the problem but it is not compatible with the early units. Moss offers a 2-piece steel replacement for the early bronze bushes. Has anyone used this Moss replacement? Thoughts?
