TR6 Moss HS6 SU conversion kit question

Good Evening Everyone,

I'm looking at the Stage 2 HS6 SU Carburetor Conversion kit from Moss Motors.

Has anyone installed this kit. If so, did you run into any problems?
Supposedly this kit has everything you need but the Air Filters. Moss says the stock filter fits(wondering if this is really the case).

Thanks in advance for any relies

A friend and I picked up on a stalled restoration. Included was a set of new HS6 carbs from Moss. It took us a long time to get the car running properly. With help from Joe Curto we got a different set of needles that ultimately solved our problem. We tried a lot of things before getting the solution. I am well experienced with the HS6's. I have rebuilt them and use them in my 2 TR4's.

Which needles did Joe spec?

I am sorry to say that we sold the car and turned over all the information to the new owner. I do know that the car is still running well. I also remember that it was a richer needle. If you do buy a set and also have a problem, contact me and I will try contacting the present owner.

Charley,
Thanks for the generous offer, but not necessary.

I'll be installing my leftover Healey HD6s on my TR6 soon. They have the normal needles from the Healey. Curto thought that was OK for a starting point, so I'll just do that to begin with. (Healey now sports HD8s).

I was thinking I could use whatever needle a sorted TR6 HS6 uses, because the main part of the carb is the same, even though the enrichment and idle systems are different.
