Does anyone have experience with the cheaper vs "uprated" synchros from moss. Is it worth the 4x price tag they are asking. I am making a small presumption that John Espesito gets his from the same supplier as moss and since I'm ordering other things I was gonna order from moss.

A colleague who rebuilds TR gearboxes and overdrives professionally will only use the better grade synchro's.

Some cheaper synchro's have measured fractionally undersize which can be a nightmare.

I have had to rebuild boxes several times just for faulty "new" synchros. This is one item I do not even think about going cheap on.

Due to one bad experience, long enough ago that I can't recall the details (early 90's?), I now always check the cone clutch contacts with bluing, regardless of cost or source.
