"Take your stinking paws off of me you [censored] dirty ape"

This was what I best knew him for. Great series.

Never one to argue on this forum, but explain why the word [censored] was well, censored? Is that an offensive word that I don't know about?

Heston had advanced Alzheimer's, death probably was a blessing. Bad way to go.

He was one of the greatest screen actors of his time. So many wonderful roles. My fave was his portrayal of Judah Ben Hur in "Ben Hur". Simply magnificent, he was.

Like many actors, he wasn't perfect off-screen. But as an artist, he was very good.

RIP, Chuck!

The software comes with a database of words that are automatically censored when encountered in the database. Mostly is is words that are generally "cuss" words, but some of them are also just words that are in bad taste...sometimes its a little over-zealous in how it apply s the filter.

I had a great deal of respect for the man, for more than just his acting career. He was an effective President of an organization I belong to, the National Rifle Association (and please, no debates about this topic). He was a rare breed (in a good way in my opinion) in Hollywood these days. Statement from his family:

"Lydia, his wife of 64 years...." << That is a rare accomplishment in Tinsel Town these days.

...I didnt like his views off screen, but he did do some fun films, he was cool in Omega Man and Soylent Green, a must see!

"Soylent Green is PEOPLE!!!"

Kinda how I feel about many of today's crop of self-absorbed, self-important Hollywood luminaries.

64 years. Wow!

Nearest I can tell, his last film appearance was just five years ago, in "My Father".

One of his first biggies was The Ten Commandments, where he played Moses. And in this last one, My Father, he played Josef Mengele. What a contrast.

Talk about running the gamut.

Great actor he was, for sure.

Great Guy, Great actor, Super American!
And that is all I have to say about that. {Forrest Gump}

I always a huge fan & was privileged to meet the man in person about fifteen years ago at a movie premiere in Hollywood. He wasn’t actually in the movie but was a guess just like me (I was with a date) and was able to rub elbows with him and a few others I respected and some I could’ve cared less about.

I know off screen many don’t agree with his politics but I was surprised that a number of his more outspoken political enemies have given him high phrase.
