Morris Isis Saloon

I just saw this car for sale here in New Jersey in a small car lot on Rt. 31.
It's a 1958 Morris Isis.
They want $1850 USD.
Looks to be complete and unmolested. Decent shape with a bit of rot on the lower doors.
One crazy thing: it's right-hand drive and has a shifter on the right side (between the seat and the door). I once saw the opposite on a LHD Wolsley.

The dealer phone number is 609-397-6222. He has a few other Brit cars too....MGB, TR-6, etc. I have no interest in this...I just figured some of the saloon-types here (like Sherlock) might be interested)

Very interesting car, but a bit dumpy, its a bigger Cowley or Series Oxford. About 8500 were made in both 4dr and estate form between 1955 and 1958. It has a 6 cyl BMC C type engine and is capable of 90 MPH (150KPH). This car was built and imported into Canada as LHD, not sure about the US. This being a RHD would have been brought over by an expat. Should be quite rare in the US, it needs a loving home.
regards Roger
