Myself and a friend took the Morgan on it's first drive in FIFTY TWO YEARS!!!
(It was totaled out in 72.) This went well until the pertronix shot craps and we had to drag it the last .1 mile to the shop.
In fairness the electronics were very old and had had a very tough life and should never have been trusted.(far)
The real bummer is that the Miata motor has a leaking head gasket and will that has to get fixed.(pig in a poke engine)
Having done a bunch of 1.6's and 1.8's I am tempted to go the "full Monty" on the little witch as
the results are fairly impressive when you go 2mm over with 10/1 racing pistons. So many suppliers
sell Miata racing bits, they are as cheap as a SBC to build. This will now be a project for spring, oh well.
Mad dog

That is fantastic, even with kinks to iron out. I am considering a total tear down and build of my Miata when I do the next water pump, (the timing belt will be due for replacement in 30,000 miles), but to be fair, I also considered a complete build when I did the last water pump/timing belt.
