More shocking F1 news

These stories are just getting more and more bizzare.

Pat

Can't wait, hopefully his neck will be strong enough to complete the race.

Absolutely fantastically awesome. My interest in F1 just went up 1000%, but I doubt he'll do much but keep the seat warm - he hasn't driven an F1 car in over a year.

I've watched Schumacher for years, and this guy was always able to turn fast laps when needed. If he had to gain 5-6 seconds before his next pit stop, all that the pit crew had to do was tell him that's what we need, and he'd go out and do it. That's why he won so many championships. If he can get into any kind of shape before Valencia, don't count him out as getting into the points, and possibly the podium. The only disadvantage that he will be faced with is the fact that he won't be able to drive the current car until qualifying. Hopefully, Ferrari has something very similar for him to flail around until then.

I hope he does well...I always kinda liked ole spoonface!

Th' thought plickens!!!

Ah....The Stig rejoins Formula One. All is now right in the world.

I think it's humorous that yesterday his agent was not 100%, but 1000% sure that Michael was not going to be seated in the F60.

It'll be nice to see the focus return to the race/racers as opposed to the FOTA/FIA/Ecclestone circus.

This'll be a great spectacle, but I'm not 100% to expect a result from him. It's not like he'll single handedly propel Ferrari into constructors contention. What have Ferrari got to lose?
Sure, this will bring the Scuderia fans out by the thousands, increase ratings across TV's the world over. Which leads me think, did Bernie & Max have anything to do with this?
FIA and Ferrari have needed some excuse to kiss and make up after the fiasco because the Concord agreement getting signed was hardly news.

My 2c... Bread and Circuses. But a thoroughly fantastic one.
Just when I thought F1 couldn't be more unpredictable....

Oh, and then there's Villenueve.

Why, oh why, did you have to stain this thread with that name? :nonono:

Comebacks always get tons of press: tennis players; boxers, etc. do it all the time.

I'm gonna bet that a whole year off of the circuit, plus his age, will doom his chances of winning. He's 40 in a (very) young man's game. Plus, there's plenty of talent out there already, competition is very tough.

BUT, having said all that, Schumy is Schumy: 94 F1 wins ain't chopped liver.

One thing's for sure: he'll bring money to the track, more folks will pay to see him drive again. Especially if he can win.

It will be fun to watch! F1 really needed some good news anyway.

You know, it's still a little over three weeks until the next Grand Prix. If Massa's eye wasn't damaged like they initially thought, he might be able to drive the car in Spain.

I heard a rumor they took DNA samples from all past and present winning F1 drivers and are manufacturing Uber Racers in a top secret lab some place in Nevada!! Yeah, THAT'S the ticket!!

Ok, maybe not......must be the cold meds kicking in!! LOL
