The new owner came by yesterday to pick up the parts I ordered for him...just called me to say he had done everything like I told him & that late last night he bumped the key & she fired right up....said it was quieter & smoother than his new Honda! Said he's never heard an engine that sounds like that Hemi! He's real happy...next, he's tackling master cylinder rebuilds....his goal is to show it at the Nashville show in October!

All RIGHT! Can't wait to see it. You coming, Tony?

Depends on how far I get with the GRM car.

Thanks, found the most recent thread and posted. The only possible rust issue would be the dog ears, at least that's what I have to replace on my #849 car.
To my amazement, there were 6 of us at Stowe.

Nope - underneath looked like brand new - shiny black paint!

VIN is 737-0398 if I read it correctly.

Next time I'm with the car, I'll look.

And when I'm ready to sell the #1059 car next spring I should let you broker it for me. BTW, who is the maker of the winch you are using on the trailer? Would appreciate some info since I want to add one to mine.

Its a Warne 2500 off an ATV...I doubled it to 5000 by hooking the end of the cable directly underneath the winch & then attach a snatch block hook on a roller way out on the cable to the car.

Yep...though it has its own deep cell marine battery that's also charged off the truck system.

Hey, Dart....its #300

I've done interchanges for all the master cylinders, slave cylinders, calipers, hood & trunk hinges to Moss #'s & got them on order for the new owner....but do you have any other interchange info such as the flex hoses on brakes & clutch?

300 probably makes it an A-spec, which might have been sent back to factory for stiffening when the press got on them about doors coming open from body flex. The car was probably made in '60 or early '61.

early '61
