TR6 Monza mufflers??, Borla?? [tr6]

I know the exhaust subject has been beat to death, but IM still searching.----Alot of you say that Pacesetter Monza mufflers are loud--how loud are they? The late model dual pipe monza system uses two resonators before the mufflers, is this system more quiet than the early model no resonator system?---Does any one have experience with Borlas on a TR6? I know alot of you like your stock muffler best, but I dont want stock and I dont want the overpriced stainless systems(like Falcon). Im just looking for a good dual muffler set up that is not too expensive or loud.

I have the Monza system on my 71' Tr6.
I love the sound I get out of them, kinda raspy but not too loud. Very easy to install + they sound good with my pacesetter header

Don't rule out the Ansa's either which are back after being out of production for many years - about $450 at Moss.
I've been running them for 16 years and love 'em; quieter (slightly) than the Monzas, with slightly smaller diameter pipes which I think look better. They are louder oddly, when first installed, then the glass packs get carbonized (?)a bit and they mellow down nicely. I'd say not for a daily driver though, or if you really want to listen to music...if that's possible in a TR.

I'd go Monza....Can't beat that look...plus they sound great. I have a monza on my A.

For the price, you can't beat Monzas for ease of install, good looks, cheap.

Downside, as beat to death many times here before, Loud. That said, who cares? They are great fun, people will notice you and you will enjoy them. They will rust out at about the same time you have had enough of them...about 2 years.

I installed a monza system on my 71-6 and It got loud around 2500 rpm, I put a cherry bomb muffler in the straight pipe section near the transmission, it fit very nice, wrapped it with fiberglass heat sheld and it quited it down and sounds really good. the exhaust system should last 4-5 years if you get the system hot enough to evaporate all the condensation inside the exhaust, short trips kill any exhaust system, they rot inside out

In addition to being quieter, and lasting longer, the Ansas have that "rare" quality about them. Another reason I like them is because unlike most of the new systems - Monzas included (I think) - the Ansas were available when the TR6 was in production. So it's a fun correct period option; much like the bumper over-riders, Lucas Square 8 fog lights,
or those flimsy armrests with the speakers and cigarette lighters installed. What was the name of that comany: ADCO or something?
