I picked up a Momo Steering Wheel in a recent car purchase. I woud like to get it restored - it's a bit ratty now. But, I haven't been able to find anyone who does this type of work.

It is aluminum and covered in leather. The leather is cracking / missing in several places.

Any advice out there?

When I reduced the diameter of my big Healey s/wheel from 17" down to 14", I fabricated a new rim and padded the rim with the foam from one of those fabric & foam slip on s/wheel covers from the local auto parts store.

I then bought a dark brown leather s/wheel cover from JC Whitney and using double needles and double threads (in pre-punched holes), baseball stitched it on. It looks and feels GREAT !
