Moke "Pit-Buggy"

Here we are in Chris Shoemaker's very neat Moke at the Summit Point, WV VRG vintage event last week.
The Moke is street licensed, so Chris's wife can cruise into town during the races.
It fits nicely into their car carrier with several vintage formula cars (including Arie Luyendyk's 1987 Indy winner).
Chris also gave "spirited" rides around the circuit in it during the lunch break.
Lin was offering to buy me one of those "mosquito scooters" as a pit-buggy, but I'd prefer one of these...dream on!

There are a couple of vintage racers who routinely bring Mokes to VIR as their paddock vehicles. I just wish we had ANY type of vehicle to run around with.

I think most Mokes came out of Australia, with even a few LHD examples from Portugal... I know of a guy in Ontario who has brought a few Mokes in, typically from Australia

Great !
