Great Pumpkin - R.I.P

Well, I've done it now - 7-leaf spring down to 4-leaf...& it lowers the car 1-1/2" also! If you'd like to see my progress, go to https://www.theautoist.com & click on today's update at the bottom of the page.

Here's a preview:

Tony your last two photos do not show.

Thanks - if it says "PHOTO", I've not yet uploaded them.

Ok, cool. Guess I must ask, what do you put between the leaves, anything?

There's a thin piece of some type of plastic that was originally there - I just reused it...biggest problem was thre little clips that go around the bundle of springs at the end of each leaf...they're hammered over to hold the leafs together - they break real easy!

What will this do to the car overall? You mentioned it will lower it. Will tires all fit even when steering? Will it affect the handling much? Will the ride be spongy/softer?

Curious?

Bruce

Heh, guess we are going to find out before too long. Stay tuned for part 3, the testing.
