On monday eve we had a storm come thru here and we took a hit somewhere nearby, surged the power supply. Our modem was the only thing affected. No 'net access until now.

Verizon replaced it after they'd run me around the tree several times, wouldn't take my word for it. And English wasn't the "tech support" weasel's first language, either.

I was in south east Fla. on Monday and there were lots of thunder boomers with lightning as well.
 
Don, that was at a client's pitch. That one was bogus from the jump, took me six weeks of argie-bargie with Brighthouse to replace it.

This Verizon one was delivered on a UPS truck yesterday.
