While I was gone, back in June, I had the chance to be at a Ford Model T racing exhibition, strictly a demonstration event with no wheel to wheel racing allowed and no contact... But still looked like lots of fun!

These guys are essentially re-creating a race series that ran for 10 years in the 1940's, apparently started to help raise funds for war orphans in Europe...

A photo or two, it was a dusty day, before we got pummeled with rain a couple of weeks later...

Fantastic! great pics and a a great event. I really have a need for a car a century old (or close) these days and also a special - my heart is with an Austin 7 Ulster but, recently there was a Model T engine/chassis/running gear on Kijiji - sigh - must remain married - must remain married - must remain married.

Wonderful set of photos James, I'm quite jealous that we do not have any events like that near here.

I remember when I was a kid pop had one of those, model T like in the photos, but back then they weren't ANTIQUES!! :highly_amused: PJ
