Very nice! Very cool! Makes me want to get boxes down from the attic and play! Always used to set a track up aroundthe tree at Christmas, but the boys are now away in the service and it seems like a lot to do just for me & the missus! When any of you get to landscaping your layouts, contact me. The lichen they sell in hobbyshops for making trees grows wild all over down here, I can bag it and send it!!

When my eyes were a little younger than they are today, I used to scratch build little miniature cars, designed to "stop on a dime", they were actually used as game pieces for a table-top racing board game we expanded from the old Parker Bros. "Grand Prix" game. I made one each of the entire field of the 1979 Monaco G.P. and an assortment of road cars that raced at Le Mans.The attachement shows a few. I think they are about the right size for N-Guage.

Thanks Jack, I do keep them in a glass cabinet but they still gather dust! All told I think I must have a couple of dozen left. Don't even really know how many I made total. I used to make the road cars for friends and by adding a cotter pin into the rear they became quite popular among my friends at the time (1970s)as a key-chain personalizer. Since you liked them, I just took another pic. w/a couple of Hot Wheels cars included to give a perspective on size, plus a little display diorama modeled after the pits at the Glen! PS those are N guage train-set figures modified for pit roles!

I thought about displaying them in a bottle with a little scene (like the old ship-in-the-bottle) but haven't quite figured out the details yet! It would also mean not playing with them that way though and they all are well worn game pieces with more than a few 24hr races under their belts!
