When I got this vehicle, we discovered and reversed 30+ years of gas station maintenance.
Got the correct carbs, sediment bowl replaced, drain and filter screen in bottom of tank....added an inline filter before the pump....and changed it every six months, as it was full of rust flakes.
Flushed tank and lines, still got plugged up (not fully) filter.
When I changed the filter, the old one would sit for a month or so on my workbench, then I would tap it on the end on my hand...and end up with a handful of rust particles.
I changed the filter earlier this week, and NO plugging, no powder when I tap it (yeah, only been 5 days), but first time in 8-1/2 years it has been clean.
Happy.

Merry Christmas!
