Missing Reverse Light Switch

I took the transmission tunnel cover off to see if I could see where to attach the wires for the reverse light. Looks like I'm missing the switch!

Am I correct in thinking that the switch should mount in the position of the large hex nut on top of the cover? Is this simply a matter of buying a switch and screwing it on, or is there more to it?

Thanks!

It's missing alright
Part# LU39890 from TRF
Just screws in.

At least the PO plugged the hole. If it had been Pedro, well who knows what you would have found.

Thanks! Sounds easy. Now I wonder about the routing for the wires to the switch. Do they pass into the engine compartment by the side of the bell housing?

They don't enter the engine compartment. They route to a connector by the drivers door behind the carpet(<span style="color: #009900">G</span><span style="color: #993399">P</span>). The power (<span style="color: #33CC00">G</span>) comes from the afore mention mass soldered connector behind the dash.
