Missing at idle ???

TR4

My TR4 has had an irritating occasional miss when idling so I installed the Pertronix Ignitor kit to see if maybe I had an issue with the points system but the miss is still there. The car runs very strong, plugs read a toasty brown, Stromberg carbs were completely rebuilt, new wires, cap, plugs, rotor, recently adjusted valves and the compression readings from my mechanic were 154, 160, 160, 155. Is there something else I could check?

Well isn't that a nifty tool. I'll hafta get one of those. Let's hope it identfies a bad wire or plug for that easy fix. Thanks Geo !!!!!

Sounds like it might be a bad plug wire connection. At higher rpms the spark maybe able to get thru better than at idle. This can happen if the plug wire is removed from the plug by pulling on the wire instead of grasping the boot firmly and pulling it off. Hope this helps
