Miss Agatha was trying to tell me something

For a few years now Miss Agatha has been trying to tell me that something is missing but I have not been smart enough to understand. Today I did.

If you will look on page 77 of the Moss catalog you will see item 17 PN "none" for an item called a buffer. Sigh. I missed it and the poor girl has been trying to let me know.

Looks like it is a rubber bumper that the leather strap that holds the top bow to the rear and tight has a pivot point so it does not rattle. If that made sence.

Had a nice ride today. Miss Agatha loved it. I have a favorate corner that is like a long tight S, no way to get over 30 but is a blast to power through with your foot all the way down and the engine hollering at about 5K. Makes everyone turn around to see what is happening and nothing is. LOL

Okies, found a source for the darn part. Colin in AU has em on the shelf. His site is https://www.spriteparts.com.au/ just send him an email via the site and tell him what you need. He has it all.

Price was $38 but darn postal service has added 9.50 since the other day.

Anyway a source. Oh yea Colin is a great guy.

No, Jack, too much money! AHSpares has it for 1.95 pounds. Item #8 under Hoods and Tonneaus. I bought it there. I'm sure this little devil could be bought at most any hardware store. If you want, I will be willing to take mine off and measure it for you?

Mine are on the way. Just did not seem worth messing with.
