Mirror Mirror on the car

The closer to the rear of the front fenders, the greater the width of the view. Mine are at 22 inches and I wish the were further back towards the wind screen. But that is where they were installed by the first owner or the dealer. The ones over the front wheel are useless in my opinion but they look nice. The ones on the door seem to me to need too much head movement but that's how all the newer cars are. I think the design engineers know what the are doing. And we have to slam our doors more than new cars. Bottom line is that by law you need a side mirror and where you put it totally up you (except the boot).
