MIRROR/HINGE GASKETS

I need some new gaskets under my bonnet and boot hinges, as well as the fender mirrors. Have ordered some from both Moss and British Victoria in the past, and didn't like either one. The ones I have from PO restoration, now pretty decrepit, are heavy black rubber with a raised edge all along the outside. Anyone know where I can get some like that?

I don't remember what the gaskets for the hinges for a 3 look like, but I do know that mirror gaskets for all cars, my 6 included, are terrible. They will last about 6 months before cracking. I have resorted to cutting my own gaskets for my mirrors out of rubber sheeting. I think I used 1/8" thick rubber and a sharp razor knife to cut out around the base of the mirror. Compresses nicely, looks good, and doesn't crack. Used same under my luggage rack as well. I get my rubber supplies from a rubber specialty shop, not something you will find at Home Depot. I have a big piece left in my workshop. If you think you might want some, PM your address and I will stick a big piece in an envelope, free.
