A local cruise night here in hinterland tonight... I spotted an original Mini next to a row of New Mini's... Took a photo of the owner (something I do all the time at car shows :cool:), then we talked about the car... It's a 1965 Austin Mini Cooper S 1098, a recent purchase by a local lady, it had been stored at a garage in a small town but out of the public eye... The bodywork is very rough, but apparently the car ran when she purchased it... A couple of photos for proof of that, but she has enjoyed driving it this summer, with some plans to do some of the bodywork (take a look at the front wheel arch :oops:)

Definitely a survivor car, I don't think the previous owner knew much about British cars, I was actually in the same small town at the same garage over the winter, photographing an old tow truck in the front yard of the business, the Mini was behind the shop away from public view, but rather close by... I even talked to the owner or the garage that particular winter day in the cafe on main street...
