Minator Wheels - Metal Hubcaps?

When I purchased my 74 Midget, it had these cool mag-type wheels labeled "Minator 13-J SCP." These wheels have little metal hub caps, which have gotten dented up. I want new ones. I was directed to Minisport in the UK, gave them the info, and out across the ocean came plastic hub caps with little leading edges on them that bend and break when you try to put them on, and do not fit. Second try was with Victoria Brit: order taker assures me the hub caps are metal. But, when they arrive, they are the same plastic ones that do not fit. Anyone know where to get the metal hub caps for these wheels?

I bet a good machinist could turn you a set from aluminum scrap. May have to use Fusor or something to hold them in place

Take cap with you. Go to a junkyard. Start looking at caps. Find one that fits. Remember with metal ones you can bend tabs out and in for a good fit. Older BMWs may be a good source, they had metal ones. Also, a rostyle cap might fit fine. They're metal.

if you find them please post it, My minators have plastic centercaps.

Didn't find photos of the caps or instructions for installing....did I get lost on your site (nice one, by he way)?

Larry, I just found a set of the metal caps with the MG logo on them, still in their original sealed bags, with Victoria British part number 9-919 on them. If you let me know where to send them, I'll drop them in the mail. One of them looks like it has a scratch on the logo, but a dab of black paint should take care of that.

Larry, I found out the caps are from the Rostyle wheels on a "B". But, I took the scratched one out of the package and tried it on a Minotaur wheel. I think if you gently spread the metal fingers that retain the cap, they will work on a Minotaur. Or, you could wrap the fingers with electrical tape, or something along those lines.
At any rate, I got your address, and will get these in the mail as soon as I can.
Incidentally, they are still available from Vicky Brit.
