Milky Way Pano

I have successfully taken several Milky Way photos , but I have never tried a full arching Milky Way Panorama. That’s going to change in a few days. When the moon is a new 🌚 moon I am going to attempt a 180 degree pano with a specific geological feature in the center and the MW arching from right to left, horizon to horizon.
my plan will be for the first shot to be due south, then 5 more shores at 30 degree increments, with the last shot due north. The geologic feature should be dead-center (due east.

I renting a small camper for the excursion. The plane is to take a couple sets of β€œforeground” images, one at golden hour and one during blue hour, then shoot the same set at 4-4:30-ish on the morning for the MW. Then combine in Photoshop.

Anxious to see that!

This is weird. I could have sworn I posted this earlier, but whe I came back it wasn't here. Well, anyway, here it is, my first attempt at a Milky Way panorama. This was done at 4-4:30 AM.

I originally said I was going to take the shots 30 degrees apart. Ended up going 15 degrees to allow for more overlap since I was shooting portrait mode.

Great job! Congratulations! (y)

I did a complete re-do with the images' white balance set at a more realistic setting (4400k) for the Milky Way. It yields a more nature scene (but I still like the first version better, even though it is a but on the blue side (it was 24 degrees outside so the Blue version gives a more realistic "feeling")
