F1 has traditionally been a European race series, but there has always been some sort of North American presence. I've been to Watkins Glen many times in the '60s & '70s. What's happened lately is all of these mid-east and Asian venues popping up that have no ties to F1. It's whatever Bernie can suck out of these locations that's been the norm. I do hope that this turn of events will start to put F1 back into some of the places where it should be.
