Since I'm putting a new top on the 380SL, I might as well replace all the top weatherstripping so it seals better & wind noise is reduced...

...& while I'm at it, I might as well replace the soft top cover seal so that when the top's stowed away, weather can't get to it...

might as well pull the engine and respray the bay too.
 
No, Jim - not yet...but I might as well, reglue the carpet in the rwar shelf area that's hard ot get to

...& when they come out tomorrow to put the new windshield in place, might as well go with new weatherstripping there also (wish I had a new dash pad because I've got a tiny 2" rip in mine & the time to install is when the windshield's out.)

...oh, & there's a piece of vinyl back o the soft top cover that needs redying because its faded. Gotta point that out tomorrow when I go over to the upholstery shop.
