After putting 120.00 in 2 wheels on ebay(price+ shipping plus sandblasting and painting. I took these wheels to my lacal tire dealer and told him to mount them on the back because the wheels on there were bent. The guy came back and said no need these wheels are trash also. Fellas do yourself a favor and dont ever buy 75-79 Midget wheels from ebay you have no idea of what you will be getting. I don,t know why so many 1500 wheels are trash. Are there really that many people running over curbs with them.? I can't seem to find a straight wheel in the world May be this applies to all Midget wheels. I don't know but ebay is not the answer for this kind of stuff
Just my 2 cents. Learned it the hard way

Might want to check with Tony after the holidays when he gets back. I'm sure he only would sell good ones or make em right if necessary.

i got a whole set of chrome race type wheels for $50 on the bay.....have air in two of them right now....very happy, makes car look FAST ; ) haha.....now if i can find 8 more lug adapters to put the other pair on with! its always something! ....oh well, two wheels are better than none....
i have 5 rostyles if i need a spare ; )......good luck

Yeah, the "Rostyle" steel wheels used on later Midgets are notorious for being wobbley.
I sorted through a pile of them to use on my racer...about half were no good.
I use them because they are cheap and (I thought) strong. A few weeeks ago at a PA track (BeaveRun), I had total failure of a wheel. I think it started with weak studs, but still, the cracks make me wonder..
I'll be using an alternate set of wheels next year (probably Diamond) and meanwhile, I'll inspect them carefully.
I agree....write Tony a note when he comes back and he may have something for you.

My failed Rostyle wheel:

Are the earlier style rostyles any sturdier?

by the way, does anybody know what brand my chrome wheels are? the bolt pattern is 4 1/4 i think, with larger lugs also....i need 8 lug adapters for my other pair....zzimmmy
