Midget VIN question

OK friends, I have a friend who is restoring a 1974? Midget. I question this because it is a rubber bumper car - but OTOH has some quirks that make me think it might actually be that early.

Here is my question - he emailed me and said the VIN is GAN UF 162XXX - I do not recall a UF suffix on these cars - and a quick glance at Horler doesn't show anything.

any thoughts?

thanks all

Would have thought more identifiers after the GAN.

U is US Market LHD.
(L would be just LHD, R would be RHD)

F is 1975.

After the G (MG)
A (A series engine)
N (2-seat roadster)

Might have been:
4, 4 or 5 for MK1, MK2 of MK3.

But with the F indicating year, mayhaps naught.
