Today the bride and I made a run up to Highlands and down to Franklin and around and back. We stopped a Bridal Veil falls for a few pictures and a look around. Man, did we come through one heck of a storm in Brevard and had to duck under a gas station overhang and put the top up. Still even with the top up it was a fun ride.

Very cool! I love the waterfall pictures.

That is a wonderful drive. I love taking drives with the wife.
A few showers don't seem so bad with her along.
Thanks for the pics!

Highlands is where wife wants to go next summer for a couple of weeks.

Now I got to find a nice place.

I believe that's where Gerry Coker and his wife spend half the year.

I very well may, but she has to come with truck.

I love the drive down from Asheville to Brevard through Nantahala. Beautiful, twisty, turny road. I'm glad you had a good outing. I hope it was cooler up there than it was down here.

Yeah it was a little stuffy after the rain in highlands in the shops because most don't have A/C but I guess it was 80 or something so no real complaints. You need to come up this way.

Yep, that is correct, in the WNC area. You'll love this I met him a few years ago at Euro Auto Festival, I ran the hospitality suite, when he came up to my bar, I told him, I know what you wantto drink and sat a Sprite on bar, he got chuckle out of that, then I got him his preferred merlot

For you that may not know who Gerry Coker is, he is designer of the Bugeye. His original design included flip up headlights but BMC didn't do that, to save money, the rest is history. Gerry designed the Bugeye when he was very young man , and now he lives here and summers in the mountains of NC.

Who knows maybe I court him to come down to Greenville next year for my Spridget-o-rama at Furman.
