Midget MK1 fuel tank in a 1500?

Lining I can do. I have done that before. But how do I boil the tank?
 
Charcoal grill water and loose aggregate.
 
So... fill the tank with water and aggregate (like pea gravel, or like nut and bolts?) set her on the grill (can I use my gass grill, or is that too dangerous?) and let it boil for ? minutes.

Sorry to be so dense.
 
I think Frank C. talks about boiling for several hours. Heat up, let crud boil, agaitate with nuts and bolts in the tank, let keep boiling. And just because it doesn't have a hint of gas smell doesn't mean it can't explode. I'm guessing this could go down to local radiator repair shop and get boiled out for 25-50 bucks and then you won't need to worry about a large kaboom.
 
I've boiled a tank before, and Jim is correct about the exploding. You would want to keep it 3/4 full of water at least. I did a couple of boilings on the tank and finished cleaning it with some lye based degreaser. I was going to have the local radiator shop do it, but they wanted $75! Then another $75 to coat it plus the cost of any repairs that it "may need". This is why I say you should look carefully at the cost of a new tank versus the cost/hassle of repairing an old one.
