Well, we're about as organized as we can be. I'm sure there will be some "adjustments".

Mission control has moved from Dodge City to Wisconsin.

Should anyone encounter difficulties or need further instruction, either with directions or mechanical assistance, I am offering up my cell phone number. Feel free to call me anytime, or text me. My business is located 2 hours West of the Show in Madison, WI. I will be at the Show, early Monday morning, but am willing to help anyone in transit. I have lots of resources.

My phone (608) 444-6906

See you all safe and sound Monday!

Peter C

thanks Peter - for this and a whole lot! Number noted.

Best of luck to all you guys headed that way.

I'll be running in a ~special 50th Spridget Race~ at the Pittsburgh Vintage GP to commemorate Donna Mae Mims.

Thanks, your # is saved in my cell !

Ah..... we're going to have some fun!

Bring your swimming shorts, there's a lake and there's some sun.

Peter

I think my route goes through Madison on the way up and then east to Elkhart lake. I am trying to stay west of the big cities. My cell is (828)335-4978. Its a cheap tracfone and I only use it in emergencies or when I am traveling. I will be hauling my Midget on a trailer but I can always unload and haul someone else's and drive mine the rest of the way to help somebody out. My route will be from Asheville on I40 to knoville then I75 up through kentucky and Indy and then west to I39 north stopping the first night(sunday) just above Bloomington at a hotel in ElPaso, Il. Then on up I39 up to Fondulac and over east to Elkhart lake on Monday.

I'm on my way!!
629 miles today!!!
Tequesta FL to Cartersville GA.
It was a hot day, and I drank over a gallon of water, but the car ran fine.
It started to ping and run hot at about 500 miles, so I retarded the timing a touch and everything went well from the on.
Tommorow nite I'll be at my sister's in Terre Haute IN for a whole day
see you all on Monday
Phil

Good luck everyone!! Safety Fast! Don't forget to post photographs.

We are leaving tomorrow morning from North Bend, Washington.
Now we have two Midgets and a Sprite.
All have 5 speeds and are ready to roll.
I've started a blog for the trip, see my signature below.

I made it to my sisters, 470 miles.
It was not as hot today, and everything was fine, however since I changed the oil pan, the car has leaked and it is getting worse.
I think it's at the rear seal.

Saturday morning I'll leave for Wisconsin

Here is where I'll be, if anyone is along the same path, PM me & I'll send you my cell #. I have a few spares in my boot that may help someone or myself in need ;-)

Leaving out at 0600, locked and loaded  Will turn my cell on then. If I can be of assistance to anyone, let me know. I have 3 trailer spares in the truck + the truck spare and the truck and trailer are the same lug pattern. Lets all get there in one peace. I hope to drink a beer with each and every one of you. I worked until 10 last night and didn't sleep worth a crap last night and feel like a zombie. I hope I have not forgotten anything. Getting ready to go to bed soon. See y'all there

We are in Urbana, IL and plan to travel up Hwy. 47 Elkhorn, WI where we'll spend the night tomorrow . Monday we will leave Elkhorn on Hwy. 67 to Elkhart Lake. Anyone that wants to join us is more than welcome. If interested, just leave a comment on our blog at: www.midgettravels.blogspot.com and we can get together. Everyone travel safe and looking forward to seeing you all soon. Jack and Kathy

Just finishing my coffee and final packing and away we go!!! (see ya there y'all)

You all remember, Miss Agatha says the most important thing is to be safe.

Have a great time folks.

Made it to Ludington MI, 96 degrees made for an uncomfortable drive, however Bridget ran perfect & no issues with staying cool (at least for her motor, the operator & co-pilot are another story)
Badger Ferry & 2 hour drive tomorrow will put us in Elkhart Lake !

Man, it must be hot everywhere. We drove from Champaign-Urbana to Elkhorn, WI today and it must have been in the mid-90s, also. But, we made it with only a minor (I hope) issue. We'll be leaving about 9:00 tomorrow from the Hampton Inn and traveling up Hwy. 67 if anyone wants to join us. Oh, and we stopped for gas in Sugar Grove, IL and a guy comes up in a Corvette and asks if we know about the event going on at Road America! Turns out his brother from Cleveland is bringing a Sprite. Think his name is Woodstock but he goes by Distinguished Junk Man, or something like that.

Have a great time this week at the US Midget 50 , hope your weather is drier than ours in the UK was. Although I live in Warwick UK (birthplace of the Frogeye) I have just done a google maps directions between our 2nd home in Ontario to Elkhart lake - ONLY 11 hrs !!! I assumed Elkhart lake was a lot further south. In fact I reckon its close enough to NY state for retired ex captain Bob to make it in his bugeye.
