Midget 50th "a Spridget Event" who's going?

This is an event for Sprite and Midget enthusiasts. Four days of spridget fun!
If it is half as much fun as the Sprite 50th, it will be an absolute blast.

Anyone on this forum (besides me) planning on attending?

So
Here is a list:
Trevor Jessie
Rick Bastedo and son (Peter)
Bill Masquelier
Bill L (and son)
Mike Burkhart
Kim and Tammy Webb
Phil Burke
"Jer" and wife.

Re: Midget 50th "a Spridget Event" who's going?

Several of us from the Northwest are driving across country 2000+ miles to attend.
I'll have my 13 YO son Peter with me, BillM is coming in one of his cars (the Orange Crate IIRC), BillL (Pythias) is coming in his red Sprite and I believe bringing his son and Mike Burkhart is coming in his Bugeye.
We plan to meet up on 7/15 at 08:00am in North Bend Washington and will average 500 miles per day.

It will be an Epic Adventure!

I will be there Treavor. Put Kim Webb and my wife Tammy on the list. Whatever happened to Barry? I haven't seen him post in a while.

Re: Midget 50th "a Spridget Event" who's going?

Good Question. I do not know if he still has his Midget. He was trying to sell it a few years ago.

Re: Midget 50th "a Spridget Event" who's going?

I'll be there, wouldn't miss it

Does anyone have a current count of how many will attend?

Wish I could make it, but I'll be there in spirit only. Y'all will have to wave at the Tunebug when you pass by Utah on your travels.

Re: Midget 50th "a Spridget Event" who's going?

I'm 90% sure I'll get there for one day, I have work commitments but think I can sneak off after I land at O'Hare. I can't bring the Midget with me, United are cracking down on the size of carry-on these days.

I did have one guy with a wad of cash look at it last year, but I just couldn't let her go.

Good to hear from you Barry! Didn't know if you were still around.
Glad that we will see you in Wi.

Myself & wife (well by the time we are headed on the trip she will have been my wife for 6 days) will be attending, registration confirmed, ferry & hotels booked.

Really looking forward to it, the trip there & back will be enjoyable as well !

Well I know there are a bunch that are'nt reading this but you can throw me in with the NW crowd. We will be traveling from my farm the day before.

I forgot to mention we hope to pick up some more cars & drivers along the way!

The trip will definitely be a large portion of the fun!

Talked to Rick Fisk to day. He got his barn find Midget running and we have reservations to take the SS Badger across from Ludington, MI and rooms at Siebkens in Elkhart Lake. If I can get my motor assembled and installed, we'll be on our way!

Barry, you still got that video recording rig? Right now it looks like after tomorrow I won't get a day of work until the day I leave, whew things are crazy. I would like to record a lap on the track but don't know how I am going to do it.

Re: Midget 50th "a Spridget Event" who's going?

I do Kim, and if I get there, I'll bring it for you.
I have 3 or 4 rigs, depends on where you want your camera positioned, as long as it has a standard thread at the bottom.
You still got that homebrew?

Re: Midget 50th "a Spridget Event" who's going?

I do mate, and its vintage stuff. I have not brewed any since I saw you last but I will bring a couple 6 packs and we shall have a few. Just one of them is strong enough to make you smile
I wish I had enough for everybody but I do not.

For those of us that are going, we should introduce ourselves with a picture.
My name is Kim Webb and I live in Asheville,NC. I will be driving up to somewhere in Ill on Sunday and Then make the rest of the way there on Monday.
This is me and my little one.(sorry about the old work clothes, I promise to dress better)

This is the truck, trailer, and spridget to look out for.

I probably have the highest geared spridget on the planet. 175/70/13 tires, 3.4545(etc) rear final drive ring and pinion, and Datsun 5 speed transmission(using Paul A.'s adapter plate)
I look forward to meeting everyone and all the modifications. Mine is mostly stock.

Re: Midget 50th "a Spridget Event" who's going?

Kim..... heck, don't dress for us! LOL.

I'll be there, here, also.

Be there, AND be square, or be round.....
