Midget 1500 Dual SU Carbs

My Midget 1500 now has a Weber downdraft. I purchased sometime ago a dual SU setup for the 1500. The questions I have is how does this setup rate compared to the Weber? I wanted to go this route because you don't see many 1500 cars with the SU setup. 2nd, I am not sure if this really came off of a 1500. It is slightly different than the others I have seen. It is in great shape. The person I purchased it from said they had it in their attic for years and didn't get much use. Also, anyone know of photos and/or parts to help me set up the linkage. I have 2 photos if anyone could look at them and help me ID this set up. Right now I don't have any means of posting them but I can email them, as long as no one ads me to their forwarding list. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/spam.gif

I don't know if my experience is typical, but I did have a Weber downdraft on my '78 and have since changed to dual SU's. My biggest disatisfaction with the Weber was that I couldn't get it set properly. That aside, what I have heard is that Webers have better top end perfomance and SU's are better off the line.

My personal experience seems to be that is true.

Here's my almost finished setup. Hope it helps. Email me if you have a question.
