Microsoft sent me a notice informing me that the wireless problem is valid and is caused by the HP Connections/Compaq Connections, which was created by HP. This product is no longer supported by the manufacture and must be removed from the system. They didn't say it, but I gathered it's only in Windows 7 that this problem exists. They have a site set up telling you how to remove it from your system.
 
wow! i would have bet real money you would not have heard a thing from them. I'm impressed. My Vista laptop(the same one that i am dual booting with 7) has HP connections on it. But come to think of it i don't think i have ever used it, in fact i think i disabled it a long time ago, when i realized it was not mission critical.

They've become noticably more responsive to issues with 7 than anything previous. They really want this to work. We really are the "Beta testers" and as the feedback on bugs and issues comes from such a huge pool they're actually getting actionable data. Always have but THIS time they're using it. Good PR, too. :wink:
