Just finished the the great article profiling Austin-Healey owner and frequent contributor to the BCF Michael Oritt in the August AHCA magazine. Enjoyed the read a lot, made me feel a little guilty for not driving my street Healey more. I've only put 10k on it in 15 years. I'll really try to do better.................thanks for the inspiration Michael.

That's a great idea. Just as soon as he gets out of prison, we'll look 'im up!

No, but seriously, if one of youse guys would do the honors and interview him and write it up and get some nice photos, I'd be happy to schedule it for publication. We like to feature characters from the Healey World, and Keoke certainly qualifies!

I am sure most of you know by now, Michael came in first place at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix! I was there to cheer him on! Nice guy! Hot day, but after qualifing he took the time to talk to me. A great guy that truly loves his sport!

Thanks Michael,

Tod

Thanks for the nice words Tod and I am still coming down from that event.

For those interested you can view the race on Youtube at:

For whatever reason these do not appear to be hotlinks but just cut and paste into your browser, select full screen mode, turn UP the volume and enjoy--I sure did!

Hi Michael,
Since you posted those videos on the internet, you should be receiving a ticket from the police dept. I saw you run a couple stop signs. Car sounds great. Is it the video or was your steering wheel moving side-to-side a lot?

Hi Greg--

Mostly it is due to the fact that the steering wheel hub is not concentric, though there is a bit of wobble because the steering column is articulated to clear the carb bowls and there is a bit of play in the top heim joint.
