T-Series MGTD Oil Leak?

There is a small hole between the bell housing and the transmission that has a cotter key protruding from it where oil leaks after driving for a distance. Common? Could this be a transmission leak? Cannot tell from the viscosity of the oil. All capacities are normal.

It's normal that a small amount of oil from the crankcase will weep out from the rear of the crankshaft after shutdown. These engines do not have a rear lip seal, but there is a kit where a lip seal can be added, not a simple task but can be done with good results. The engine must be pulled to accomplish this. Most guys just put up with it. :rolleyes2: PJ
