Going through my old photo albums, I came across these restoration photos - before and after. The year started was 1973. I spent over 600 hours on a cold garage floor. N MGTD-before.jpgMGTD-after.jpgMGTD1.jpgMGTD2.jpgMGTD3.jpgever again.

Now *that* is some history for you. Six hundred hours, which got you a great looking TD.

By the way, nice yellow and black striped shirt you're wearing there.

I was young then - but not that young. That's my son Dan, the one whose Alfa I bought. He was about 7 or 8 then. He'll be 49 next June. The red pinstriping was the same as on my first TD except the base color was black. That first TD was the LBC that got me started on this crazy hobby. I'll post a picture of that one and maybe a few surprises as well.

Here's my original TD with me at the wheel and then my skeptical father. I had hair in those days and only weighed about 135 lbs. Now-163. Also my '59 Twin Cam at a gymkhana/autocross in the Yale & Towne parking lot. Do they still have those where you live? No longer any here AFAIK.MGA Twincam-1959.jpgMGTD-1955(2).jpgMGTD-1955.jpg
