A note from Basil has prompted me to post perhaps for the first time. I am normally on a different forum rich with MGC owners from all over Earth. Wondered if anyone here owns an MGC.

How is the parts availability for MGCs? Is the difference between the MGB and MGC only the engine, or is there more?

I think they are uber-cool, but come up for sale pretty rarely.

Most of the front end is different, from the front edge of the seats forward, but not everything. Even so there are very few things that are plain un-obtainable and those are not critical for a running enjoyable car.

Another owner here - 69 tricarb convertible.

One of my housemates in college had a red automatic roadster. She didn't think it was any big deal, her step dad had given it to her. I was already a British car addict (learned to drive on a 67 GT) and had a 66 Sprite at the time. I would drool ever time she came home (over the car). She was pretty hot too. A C is on my list, once I finish the current projects (70 GT and an 67 A-H 3000 MK III Phase II )
