No affiliation. Saw it on Craigs list and thought I'd pass it along....

Raleigh MGC

That's what it looks like. Might be safer than putting it back on those rusty wires! :yesnod:

I've never figured out why everybody's so afraid to store a car on concrete blocks...I've got several parts cars that have been sitting on them for years....I mean, what's the foundation of your house made of? So long as you use them properly, they'll hold a car!

Merely a tongue-in-cheek comment, Tony. I usually associate old pick-up trucks in the front yard with cinder blocks.

BTW...I would NEVER work under a car supported only by cinder blocks....even if they're oriented correctly!

Didn't say 'work under'....said 'stored on'...& know what you mean!

Thanks for the link. I've forwarded it to a friend.

Regarding cinder blocks.... I made my father panic when I was in high-school. I needed to work under my car and I didn't have jackstands. I jacked the car up and supported it on 12" long sections of tree-trunk about 12-16" in diameter. He was scared to death the car's weight would split the wood and let the car crash down on me. The jackstands that appeared in the garage the next day were the first automotive tools my dad ever gave me.

MGC's are interesting enough that I was tempted for a little while. Then the reality of what a restoration would involve kicked me in the head!

<....hands billh an ice pack and a bottle of Tylenol....and a Home Equity loan application!!...> LoL
